As a post-graduate, I now see that the real-world sucks. College seemed so much easier to meet people, and easier to meet girls. Now in New York, meeting strangers is quite difficult, and the fear of being viewed as a creep is definitely present (especially with beard). My coworker told me to change my "idle" face because it currently says "fuck off." Walking around with a smile on my face like a cult-enthusiast is another option... but I don't think that will go over much better. Maybe it is New York, but more likely it is me.
So since approaching random people isn't exactly an option right now, I will resort to other means of meeting people.
